Snuff Box, late 1700s. A decorative scene of lovers with a lute and sheet music adorns the lid of this pocket snuff box. Small enough to keep in the pocket of a waistcoat, this ornamental box would have been considered an elegant gift during the 18th century--possibly a lover?s token.
