St. George's Schools, Sheffield, 1844. 'These buildings, of which the first stone has been so auspiciously laid, are to consist of three separate schools, with suitable classrooms. The Girls' School, fronting St. George's Church; the Infants' School, forming the centre division, and fronting Beet-street and Siddal-street...There will also be comfortable dwelling houses for the master and mistress; the basement of the building being occupied by library, soup kitchen, play-grounds, &c....The design of the building has been furnished, and the work will be carried out under the able superintendence of Messrs.Worth and Frith, architects'.
