A Laing stonemason chiselling a block of stone to be used in repairs at Carlisle Cathedral. Laing Stonemasonry was a small specialist section of the Laing group of companies, based in the Dalston Road, Carlisle offices. Services provided included preliminary investigations, site surveys, stonemasonry construction, restoration, repair, stonecarving, cleaning, walling and cladding.
