Queen Street, Ramsgate, Thanet, Kent, c1945-c1965. A street view of Queen Street, seen from the east near the junction with York Street, and looking west with a partial view of 51 Queen Street in the background. 51 Queen Street is in the background of the photograph, and can be located by the round clock face supported by a large bracket. The building is the former premises of a wine merchant, built around 1898 and designed by WJ Jennings of Canterbury. It was built in a Victorian-Tudor style. The front facade has a central entrance flanked by granite columns and a short circular tower on the south-east corner.
