Demolition of Waterloo Bridge, City of Westminster, Greater London Authority, 1936. A view of men working on the demolition of the old Waterloo Bridge with buildings on the north side of the river in the background. The Waterloo Bridge was designed by John Rennie and opened in 1817. It was demolished in the 1930s with another bridge replacing it in the 1940s.
