Inner Temple Hall, Temple, City of London, Greater London Authority, 1940-1945. A view of the Inner Temple Hall from Pump Court showing the building lying in ruins after severe bomb damage. The area around Inner Temple was badly damaged by high explosives in 1940-41 during the Second World War. The hall and library were later completely rebuilt with the work completed in 1959.
