Astronomy - painted by J. Sant, 1850. Exhibition at the British Institution. 'Mr. Sant's "Astronomy" is a fine picture, full of poetic expression, and the best production of the painter's pencil we had ever seen. It was purchased early, and deserved such distinction. It hangs in the north room; its size is 3 feet 5 inches square'. From "Illustrated London News", 1850.
