Sitting of the Synod at Thurles, [in County Tipperary, Ireland], 1850. Clegy holding a meeting. '"lam enabled", writes our Artist, "to send this Sketch, owing to the great kindness of the Rev. Mr. Leahy, President of the College, who, amidst the great labour thrown on him, found time most obligingly to explain the whole proceedings of the Synod when sitting in full council, in the chapel of the College, and enabled me to portray their Lordships in deliberation".'
