"I was on this here project, Work Projects Administration, at twenty-three dollars and ten cents in Durant, Oklahoma. I sold a cow to get here. I'd go back tomorrow if I could. The project over there? I wouldn't like it. Your chickens would get all mixed up with the other peoples, and then there'd be trouble. It's kind of socialism over there".
