Paris Fashions for August, 1854. 'Bonnet of paille d'ltalie, or paille de riz of mallow colour, trimmed likewise upon the edges, with flowers like those of the interior, mingled with white blonde. Frock of taffetas, mantelet of white taffetas, with fringe plaited at the end, trimmed with little knots of similar taffetas, and the bottom composed of small rosaces à jour trimmed with tulle, and worked on the edge'.
