The English outposts...can see all that is going on...On the left hand may be seen a number of Russian soldiers, and behind them several parties of Cossacks...several of the forts are visible...The commanding height of the ground on which the Allies are encamped gives them a great advantage over the Russians in Sebastopol, who are completely overlooked by the besiegers'.
