'Planting A Red Oak', 3 March 1945, (1947). Princess Elizabeth (future Queen Elizabeth II) plants a tree, assisted by Susan, one of her Welsh corgis. The royal family planted oaks in the form of a cross in Windsor Great Park to commemorate the Red Cross Agricultural War Effort. At left is the princess' father, King George VI.
