The family wish to send their love to you nothing more to say I remain you truly wife J Smith [Josephine Blaze Smith]'. 'New York City, Sept 6th 1883, My dear wife...I here close you ten 10.00 dollars & I has not had time to atend to the babie carrage yet...your Charlie Smith & Remember me to your sister & all that ask of me kiss my darling little children for me...'.
