Miss Lorna Mallinson, portrait photograph, 1918 Nov. 15. Possibly a portrait of Lorna Valentine Mallinson Bowen, daughter of American silk magnate Hiram R. Mallinson. Her parents did not approve of her marriage to Greenwich Village restauranteur Eugene A. Bowen. In 1928, she fell or jumped from her parents' twelfth story apartment in New York City, during a bitter dispute between her husband and her father.
