Hotels Netherland and Savoy, New York, c1905. The original Savoy Hotel at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street opened in June 1892. The Hotel New Netherland (later Hotel Netherland) was built in 1892-93 to a design by William H. Hume for William Waldorf Astor.
