St Michael's Church, Castle Frome, Herefordshire, 1940-1949. Detail of a Norman font with three feet carved as prostrating figures, with a focus on two figures and animal carvings, in St Michael's Church. The image shows the full height of the font which has a round bowl on a cylindrical shaft which is possibly made of one piece of stone. Two of the carved feet are visible, including the figure with a damaged head, and one intact. Above the feet is an interlacing pattern around the shaft which changes to carvings of figures and animals. There are two birds facing each other in the centre of the bowl, and a partial view of a scene on the left side.
