East Indiaman at anchor, 1785. VOC (Dutch East India Company) ship of approximately 150 feet with a barge alongside. The draftsman has indicated the proportions with pencil. This is probably a preliminary study of Brandes' view Colombo from the north. With inscription. Part of Jan Brandes' sketchbook, dl. 2 (1808), p. 55.
