Catherine B. Wainright, 1878. An inscription on the reverse of this miniature identifies the subject as the widow of Charles Gordon Patterson, M.D., and notes that she was the mother of 10 children. Her son, also named Charles Gordon, was a railway entrepreneur. The miniature, possibly by James Reid Lambdin, is in a Tiffany frame.
