Progress of the International Exhibition building: portion of the Nave, 1861. 'The nave as it now appears, roofed in, and with the clerestory windows fixed, the travelling stage used in its construction being seen at the end'. The International Exhibition of 1862, or the Great London Exposition, was a world's fair held from 1 May to 1 November 1862, beside the gardens of the Royal Horticultural Society, South Kensington, London, on a site that now houses museums including the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum.
