Dacha Seyuza, with the Pray family and servants posed on the front porch, near Vladivostok, Russia, between 1907 and 1909. Left to right: the child Dorothoy Pray and her Russian nurse, Anastasia Arten'eva; two Japanese amahs, O Yasa San and O Kiku San; Frederick Pray; and two Chinese servants, identified as the cook and Dou Kee. The Prays and Sarah Smith rented this summer house from 1907 to 1922 and called it Seyuza, a Chinese name signifying the peaceful home to the north.
