'The prize of honour among the pigs belongs for English breeds to a seventeen-months white Sussex of 196 kilogrammes, bred by Mr. John Waters; and for French-bred pigs to a twenty-one-months white Yorkshire pig of 202 kilogrammes, bred by M. de La Valette'.
