Throckmorton...bred by Mr. Mitchell, of Iver Lodge...The foreshortened sow represents Mr. Wainman's celebrated Silverwing, the winner in the class for "sows of the small white breed."...The splendid Clydesdale sire Sir Walter Scott, the property of the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon..."Napoleon," the winning pony sire under 14 hands and above 12½ hands at his side...is a dappled dun of the Welsh breed...Mr. Booth's star...shone this year with Queen of the Ocean...Lady Pigot (who is always dangerous with her cows) came Second...Mr. James Davy's Devon gold medallist, "Duke of Flitton,"...Mr. Davy...cut down all opposition by bringing six animals, and winning four firsts and a second (against himself), and two gold medals with them!'.
