The International Exhibition: trinket-box by F. Theyer, of Vienna, in the Austrian Court, 1862. An '...example of the articles of virtù and utility which Mr. Theyer exhibits in the Vienna Court of the north-west transept, the whole of which are full of taste and merit. [It is]...a box...viewed from above. This is purer in style of art, being also Elizabethan, and is rich and beautiful in aspect, as rich plaques and jewel-like masses of lapis-lazuli and stones of various colours are judiciously applied to the work'.
