Wells Hawks (1870-1941), a member of the Navy's public relations team with "Chief Bald Eagle" and a group of Native Americans on board the USS Recruit, a wooden mockup of a battleship built in Union Square, New York City by the Navy to recruit seamen and sell Liberty Bonds during World War I.
