Storage, between 1917 and c1920. The warehouse of the Army Quartermaster's Effects Bureau which managed the personal effects of soldiers who died in World War I. The Bureau was located in Hoboken, New Jersey and also had a warehouse in New York City. A worker with a large pot of ink and brush is writing a shipping address on a crate. One crate is addressed to "Mr. Charles T. Hopkins" of Wichita, Kansas and another crate is addressed to "Mr. Robert J. Davis" of Reading, Pennsylvania.
