Légende
Bone at the press, 1908. Vivid character study of Dodd's great friend and fellow student at the Glasgow School of Art, and later brother-in-law, Muirhead Bone, bearded and wearing a curly-brimmed hat. Bone leans over his etching press and appears to address the viewer. He holds a sheet, perhaps a recent print fresh off the press. In the foreground there is a folio and other prints are visible.
