Légende
St. Peter's Church, Edinburgh, 1868. 'This building, for one of the principal congregations of the Scottish Episcopal Church, was commenced in 1859. Circumstances at that time prevented the design from being entirely carried out, and the nave and chancel alone were then built. In the year before last, however, the exertions of the Lord Provost, Mr. Graham Lawson, resulted in the completion of the aisles and of the tower and spire, and in the addition of a vestibule, which runs along the west end and serves both as an entrance to the church and as the means of connection between the latter and the baptistery; also an addition to the original design...The architecture of this church reflects the highest credit on Messrs. Slater and Carpenter, of Regent-street, London, the architects by whom it was designed'. From "Illustrated London News", 1868.
