The Horse-Show at the Agricultural Hall Islington [in London]: parade of prize horses - trotters and hacks, 1868. 'Mr. Abel's Young Phenomenon, Mr. Jolley's Rapid Roan, Mr. Bedford's bay Arab Le Vent, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales's white Arab Rupee, Mr. Rowell's Young Performer...Rapid Roan, with that handsome bay-pointed forehead and muzzle, was quite the cream of the three roans...He was bred by the Earl of Albemarle...there was the precision of machinery in his stroke which brought a round of cheering...His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales's Rupee is a white mare, and without the quality and points of the golden-bay Arab Le Vent'.
