Weapons and implements of the tribes of Central Africa, visited by Mr. S. W. Baker, 1865. '1. Spear. 2. War bracelet, armed with sharp-pointed blades for striking at an enemy. 3. Hammer, or mace, with iron head. 4. Horn used as a trumpet. 5. Mace. 6. Shield, ornamented with a tuft of black ostrich feathers at the top. 7. Axe. 8. "Mollote", or spade. 9. Fighting-bracelet, with sharp edge around the circle, protected by a sheath of hide. 10. Stool, ornamented with festoons of chains beneath. 11.
