Scene from the Short Silent Feature Film 'Poppies of Flanders'. Two Male Actors Portraying Soldiers in the Trenches, 1920s. 'To redeem himself, [the hero] takes ship for Europe, and Presto!, he's up to his eyes in the mud in Flanders. There just a private, he learns something of the heartaches, the hardship and the companionship of war as experienced by the fighting men'. British drama "Poppies of Flanders" (1927) was directed by Arthur Maude and starred Jameson Thomas, Eve Gray, Gibb McLaughlin and Henry Vibart.
