French Horn and Half Moon Hotel, East Hill, Wandsworth, Wandsworth, Greater London Authority, c1900. The rebuilding of the French Horn and Half Moon Hotel on East Hill. This photograph shows the new French Horn and Half Moon under construction a short distance to the east of the existing public house (seen to the centre of this view). The original building was demolished shortly after to allow for the construction of Woodwell Street. The new French Horn and Half Moon was later demolished to make way for the A214 Trinity Road. A notice on the scaffolding of the new building reads "BUSINESS CARRIED ON AS USUAL DURING RE-BUILDING". 'I. H. Sherwin Esq' is written on the negative.
