Edward Parry, D.D., is the only surviving son of the late Rear-Admiral Sir [William] Edward Parry, K.C.B., the well-known navigator and explorer of the Arctic regions...[Mr. Parry] was instrumental in rebuilding on a large and handsome scale the parish church, and in building spacious schools, and also a school church. He was five years Rural Dean of the Rural Deanery of Ealing, comprising twenty important parishes, and in that capacity rendered much service to the Church in the diocese in London.
