'This Company of the 8th Battalion of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment is composed exclusively of the employees of the Dunlop Tyre and Rubber Companies, a striking proof of the patriotic enthusiasm infused by the Du Cros family into their staff. The Managing Director of the Dunlop Tyre Co. is Mr. A. P. Du Cros, M.P. for Hastings, son and successor in that constituency of Mr. W. H. Du Cros, who founded the pneumatic-tyre industry'.
