Piazzetta, Venice, about 1880-1890. A small public square looking out onto the Grand Canal. There are two columns at the edge of the square, both topped with sculptures. The column on the left has a sculpture of a winged lion and the column on the right has a sculpture of a human figure. Across the canal the domed roof and bell tower of the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore is visible.
