Head Flask, about 2nd century A.D. Additional Info: This mold-blown head flask was made of colorless glass. This flask was blown in a two-part mold in the shape of a head of a man (Dionysos) wearing an ivy wreath. The body rests on a concave base with a pontil-mark. Short cylindrical walls rise above the head. A flaring neck rises above the flattened shoulder. The neck is decorated with two applied trails in its middle. This flask is in good condition. The surface presents a slight iridescent sheen. The tip of the nose has been restored.
