Knight of the Order of San Julian del Pereiro wearing war dress, 1865. Founded in Portugal in 1093 with the name of Order of San Julian del Pereiro. After the relocation of their headquarters to the town of Alcántara, the masters began to be called Maestres de la Orden de Alcántara (Masters of the Order of Alcántara) and no longer used their first name.
