'...Mr. Landells, our Special Artist at the Prussian head-quarters, Versailles...He passed through the village of Chevilly, near Orleans, a few days after the battles in which the army of General Aurelle de Paladines was defeated; and he saw the work of burying the slain French soldiers going on just outside that village'.
