Attic Black-Figure Neck-Amphora, about 520 BC. Additional Info: A: Athena in a quadriga, rendered in three-quarter view, moving to the right. B: Komos scene with four bearded men, wreathed and nude. The figure at right is smaller than his counterparts. One plays the double pipes, while the other three dance. Two hold sprigs. Running around the body under the picture field, a band of encircled upward-pointing lotus buds with dots, and rays above the foot. On the neck, addorsed lotus and palmettes. Tongue pattern on the shoulder (only black ones filled in). Under the handles, palmette and lotus pattern.
