'The Death of Nelson', 1925. Illustration of a wax tableau at Madame Tussauds, a wax museum founded in London in 1835 by the French sculptor Marie Tussaud. '...the passing of one of England's greatest men and greatest naval heroes. After a long and victorious career, he met his death at the Battle of Trafalgar. This battle was the culminating glory of his life. We see him here dying in the cockpit of the 'Victory'. Was ever ship better named!'.
