'"Good Dame', He Panted, 'Save Me'', 1932. 'The door stood open revealing an old woman within, bending over her distaff. "Good dame", [Robin] panted, "save me, I am pursued and sore pressed...the Bishop of Hereford with his men are close behind; if they catch me they will bring me to the gallows for sure". "Aye!", said the dame. "I know you now, good Robin...Now tell me where I can best hide you?" Robin looked round the humble cottage, and could see no possible place of concealment, so he begged the good woman to change clothes with him...'.
