A Moving Diorama of Constantinople, including the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus, up to the entrance of the Black Sea, is now open, in the New Room, at the Egyptian Hall, 1849. 'The sketches were made on the spot by Mr. Allom, by whom also the Diorama is painted: assisted by Mr. Desvignes and Mr. Gordon. The Explanatory Lecture has been written by Mr. Albert Smith & Mr. Shirley Brooks, Who are personally acquainted with Constantinople and its environs, and is delivered by Mr. Charles Kenney. The last Tableau of Constantinople by Moonlight has been Painted by Mr. William Beverley. The Room is very elegantly arranged, to accord with the subject'.
