Darjeeling is a town in West Bengal and is internationally famous for its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, travelling from Siliguri up the steep climb to the hills and Darjeeling was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999 and is one of a few steam engines still in service in India.
