Founded by the USA german-born industrial BLUE JEANS denim creator LEVI STRAUSS ( Löb Strauß , 1829 - 1902 ), businessman of Levi Strauss & Co. In 1873 Jacob Davis had a brilliant idea to prevent pockets from tearing, he proposed to Levi Strauss to reinforce the points of greatest tension on the jeans with rivets (copper studs similar to those used to fasten the straps of draft horses).
