Hiking trail on way to Le Grand Benare, Reunion Island, French overseas department in Indian Ocean. Summit of Le Grand Benare is 3rd highest peak (2896m) on Reunion Island. You can hike here from Piton Maido. Though clouds move swiftly in and out, when clear you look into the "Cirque de Mafate" and "Cirque de Cilaos". It is the third highest volcanic peak on the island, after the Piton des Neiges and the Gros Morne.
The 3 stickers are warning that surfaces may be unstable and slippery and that there are steep edges along the path. PR23 refers to the 'sentier' or trail route number which indexes most hiking trails on the island.
