Susskind of Trimberg is the author of six poems in the Codex Manesse. The poems date to the second half of the 14th century, and if their purported author is historical, he would be the first documented Jewish poet of the German language. There are no records about Susskind's life and not even proof that the poems recorded under his name are from a single author.
