Légende
Lionel Poilane in1967.
Lionel Poilane, the French bread baker once baked a set of bread furniture for his artist friend Salvador Dali. His friend Dali, the surrealist artist, commissioned Poilane to bake a bread bird cage. Dali was addicted to the resilient, blackened sourness of Poilane's famous bread, and in the 1970s created a whole suite of furniture from loaves of Pain Poilane, including a sourdough chandelier complete with electrical fittings.
