Anti-German spirit figurines. The two wooden figurines, both with hands on hips and one with a skirt-like dress hitched up to the waist, were apparently sent as hostile spirits to German settlers in East Africa during the Maji Maji uprising of 1905-7. Probably Tanzania, 1906., Eastern Africa, Africa.
