Roger Casement. Portrait of Roger Casement (1864-1916), an Irish diplomat and poet who became famous for his work to expose the abuses of labour in the Congo Free State and Peru. He was later hanged for high treason following his involvement with the importation of German arms to Ireland during World War One. Location unknown, circa 1910.
