Negus Selassie arrives in Palestine. Negus (Emperor) Haile Selassie I (1892-1975) of Ethiopia disembarks from a boat at a Palestinian port, accompanied by British Navy personnel. Forced into exile in Britain following Italy's invasion of Ethiopia in 1936, Selassie also spent extended periods in Jerusalem. Probably Haifa, British Mandate of Palestine (Israel), circa 1938.
