Légende
Two identical glass fragments decorated with a lapwing, These tiny fragments, possibly inlays from shrines and furniture, were made from polychrome glass canes laid side by side to create a picture. The rods were fused, left to cool, stretched to miniaturise, then sliced to form each piece. Egypt. Ancient Egyptian. Graeco Roman 3rd 1st C BC. Alexandria.
